Opening Gods unchained packs
So I was a bit bored the other night and decided to purchase 50 gods unchained packs to open and give myself a late christmas present. I also think this could be a good time to get into those, as far as I'm aware they've been selling packs for the same eth cost since it's start. Meaning that the packs have cost so much more at any point in time during this year, sure they got a bit more expensive now than a week ago, but you know what I mean. 

If anyone else is interested in this "hearthstone"ish card based game where you own your cards instead through the eth blockchain, [would be great if you could use my ref link to it](https://godsunchained.com/?refcode=0x826f51b323e83f2e2799055b7e39b1661a056059) (referrers make 10% of what new users buy (it doesn't make your packs more expensive))
These exclusive presale packs are the first season which according to their website won't be created more of in the future as they will only be available before the game launches (closed beta right now) and before a hardcap of $15 million is reached. Their roadmap looks pretty quick, a marketplace is supposed to be launch next, in Q1 tournaments and the world championship occurs and the next step after that is Gods Unchained VR which sounds really cool for a card game if you're able to use those phone VR boxes while playing. 

If there is interest of me going through the project more in depth I could do that in another post, been thinking of reviewing new games on any blockchains from a gamers perspective and see what cool projects there are out there.

Yeah hacking is probably gonna be an issue but if accounts become valuable it will be at a higher risk. Such as what Valve does with counter-strike, where getting an account is now free but to play ranked matches you need at least 10 pregames and certain levels reached. Thus have a window for checking if new users are hacking before letting them into registered rank games that affect your rank.

In those games already the odds of there being hackers have declined a lot where losing your account will just cost you the time played and skins earned/bought. In blockchain it could not just cost you that, but also a daily reward pool.

It is going to also up the strategies to hack perhaps (they are already high I guess) but I think that once there are a few prominent examples of what happens to an account when discovered, it will put a fair bit of fear into those at the highest levels at least.

There will of course be a "black market" around waiting to start selling accounts that have just made the minimum amount of games played to enter "ranked" mode. There are always people that try to monetize online games, but there you can just introduce more reward pools, such as "only season 1 account" reward pool. In time the players who can play on more reward pools daily will be competing for a bigger pie of the total rewardpool. But of course you can later add more incentives just for being active daily no matter your accounts age. 

Baseline, with blockchains a whole new window of incentives get created due to them relying on a reward pool rather than just ad revenue that the creators get most of.

What I like that blockchain brings is the ability to track it all. Potentially, the tokens issued will be NFTs so an account that earns and then is later discovered could essentially have all holdings wiped or nulled somehow I guess. Kind of like testing 10 years later for doping in sports.

I haven't be able to notice anything other than the way it is played, the hearthstone userbase is really huge, I can see many wanting to switch over if they realize they can have another income stream by doing the same thing they are doing now without ever controlling their cards in case they want to "sell out" and "retire". 

For gamers, being able to buy in and have cards that will never be created again would be pretty cool. I remember some cards of season 1 hearthstone still being cards used today too cause they remained pretty good cards over time.

For collectors, they also have "diamond" cards which are 10x harder to get than gold. Not sure what the "mythic" one is, which one more exists in the unsold packs, my guess was a diamond legendary but not sure.
