 After a flurry of chances, Manchester City double their lead 2 minutes before the halfway point. Ilkay Gündogan's through ball finding Phil Foden, who goes on to slot it in the bottom left corner.
 With the first half almost gone, Rotherham suffer some bad luck, with an own goal from Semi Ajayi.
 Man City started to run riot in the second half, resuming the scoring in the 52nd minute. Raheem Sterling assisting Gabriel Jesus, who finally found the net after previously missing a number of chances.

 Although already being clear off their opponents, City refuse to slow down and seek out more goals.
