Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues his unbeaten run as Manchester United caretaker manager, with a transformed Manchester United beating Newcastle 2-0 yesterday.
 The first half saw no goals, but it wasn't necessarily a boring half. Both sides were able to cause problems for each other, with Manchester United looking the most dangerous of the two though.
 Newcastle seemed to be more defensive, with Manchester United going forward more and trying to break their opponents down only to meet a good defence.
 With both sides deadlocked at the break, the second half started in a surprisingly slow fashion with little happening to report on. Things soon started to pick up though as Atsu tried a a shot from 20 yards for Newcastle but sends it well wide.
  Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku are brought on as substitutes later. These soon prove to be important changes by Solskjaer, as Lukaku scores less than a minute after coming on for United.
 A rebounded ball falls in the path of Lukaku after Rashford takes a free kick from 30 yards, Lukaku manages to get to it before the Newcastle defence and finishes things off from 6 yards just 38 seconds after coming on as a substitute.
 Rashford goes on to seal the game by doubling United's lead by the 80 minute mark. It all came from a wonderful counter attack that ended up seeing Sanchez finding Rashford past 3 defenders, and Rashford finding the time and space to slide the ball past the keeper and into the net.
 The win now puts Manchester United 8 points from the top four, a gap that was previously 11 points. They also sit 3 points behind fifth placed Arsenal.
 Manchester United though now impressive, still have a lot of work to do if they are to make gains in their Premier League run.
