Good day crypto enthusiasts, for some time now I have been reviewing Function X and the technological innovations it has rendered. COMPONENTS OF THE ECOSYSTEM
Function-X Ecosystem is composed of five basic (core) constituents, namely:
1. Function-X distributed ledger (Blockchain)
2. Function-X OS
3. Function-X IPFS
4. Function-X TP
5. Function-X Decentralized Docker
WHY ALL THESE COMPONENTS?
All of the above components serve a sole purpose of decentralizing all service, websites, applications, communications, as well data (data is the most important of all).
WHAT IS THE FUNCTION-X DISTRIBUTED LEDGER (CHAIN)?
The Function-X chain is a set of consensus algorithmic procedures or steps in the form of a decentralized ledger which lies in the Function-X Ecosystem. This distributed ledger is actually based or built on the Block-chain and it is designed to store and confirm transactions including:
Financial activities
Settlements of payments
Communications (such as file transfers/storage and making of calls)
Services (using the f(X) DApps)
The following are few facts (projections) on the f(x) chain:
A mainnet: the chain, being Block-chain will have a mainnet that will be launched with it.
Projected Mainnet launch date: 3rd quarter of year 2019
Projected testnet launch date: 2nd quarter of year 2019
DESIGN OF FUNCTION-X CHAIN
Function-X chain is designed according to the philosophy that any Block-chain should be able to tackle market demand, in reality. It is designed to possess a big performance and processing rate. This is done by combining easily accessible hardware support (XPOS, iPhone, etc) and an open-source software-toolkit enhancements.
WHAT DEVICES WILL BE CONNECTED TO THE CHAIN?
XPOS OS, which will eventually be substituted with the Function-X OS, and XPhone will be linked to the chain.
FUNCTIONALITY OF THE CHAIN'S BLOCK
Meanwhile, each of this chain's block will be used to store anything that can be transmitted over the decentralized Network. These can include websites, data packets, source code, records of phone calls, among other things. These will form the elements of each block.
DATA SECURITY IN EACH BLOCK
All data stored on a block is made secure by encryption such that only the person who has the private key will be able to choose how to go about data sharing, storage, decryption and even destruction.

The consensus mechanism Function-X will employ is 'Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT)
PLANS FOR FASTER CHAIN PERFORMANCE
Pundi-X Ltd wants to a achieve a higher speed that will surpass that of Etherium and Bitcoin networks, through the special configuration of their hardware and software.
FUNCTION-X OPERATING SYSTEM- f(X) OS
The Function-X OS is an Android-modified OS which is compatible with Block-chain. One can switch easily between the traditional (normal Android) mode and the Block-chain mode. As expected, the Block-chain mode is completely decentralized while the traditional mode will support all features of the normal Android OS.
TRANSMISSION PROTOCOL- f(X) FXTP
A transmission/transfer protocol controls the rules that govern how information is sent through a network. How information on the internet, such as web contents is governed by the HTTP (HyperText Transfer Protocol).
FXTP is a protocol for the Function-X Decentralized Network. FXTP is unlike in that it is an end-to-end transfer whereby data processing can be done on a consensus mechanism instead of a mechanism based on client-server-decision-making.
FUNCTION-X IPFS
Storage of data or files NB in this distributed system is achieved using IPFS. Files are securely stored on this network such that anyone who needs a file can retrieve it by calling it's identifier (hash), then IPFS scans through other nodes in the network and provides the file.
FUNCTION-X DECENTRALIZED DOCKER- f(X) DDOCKER
What is a Docker? It is any program on a computer that is used to make the creation, deployment and running of apps easier. According to it's name, f(X) Decentralized Docker is designed to operate in a decentralized Network.
