Starting in mid-October, over a hundred students from the famous MIT will have a copy of their diploma stored on Blockchain.

This test program is initiated in collaboration with Learning Machine Technologies (LMT).

MIT and LMT had already jointly created the Blockcert open standard in 2016. As a reminder, Blockcert offers solutions to the academic world to store credits, diplomas and others on Blockchain. These two big names are not at their first attempt. Indeed, similar programs had already been launched in Malta and Australia.

Finally masters of their own records

What seemed to be obvious is likely to become reality soon. To dispose of one's own administrative data entirely is an important and current issue. It is perfectly possible to extend the concept to land registries, medical records or the professional world - for example to ensure the veracity of a C.V.

As is often the case, MIT is at the forefront of innovation.
