The Lake Ritza
**The Lake Ritza is the most beautiful place in Abkhazia. The neighborhoods are very attractive for tourists and dwellers. The lake is located in a bowl and bowl is surrounded by forests and mountains.**

Dwellers tell tourists the legend about the appearance of a lake how this magical lake came to be. Once upon a time, in this place was located a valley. A river ran through this valley. There was a house near the beach. The girl, which named Ritza and her three brothers lived in this house. Once, when men went to graze ships, raiders attacked the house. They kidnapped Ritza, but her brothers hear a scream. chased after the thieves. One of  the brothers thrown in raiders a sword. The sword fell in the middle of the river and blocked it. The water filled the valley. Ritza and her thieves were swallowed up by the river. The brothers could not save sister and died from grief. They turned into mountains and since then three brothers-mountains have been guarded the sacred place.

The Lake Ritsa is a magical place. If people have been came once, they want to come back again. On the way to the beach of the lake, you can see other historical places. The ruins of the Bzyb fortress of the 9th-10th centuries, the Watchtower of Hasan-Abaa, the natural "sapphire" - the Blue Lake, two waterfalls, which named Girl’s Tears and Man's Tears and many others great natural wonders and antiquities are located in this wholly special place.

The water in the lake is incredibly clean. You can clearly see the deep water. . The color of the water can change in different season. In spring and summer the water surface is greenish-yellow, but in autumn and winter it become blue.

You can enjoy the picturesque landscapes and get chilly by of the mountain rivers and the lake. Also you can go fishing, ride a catamaran or have a snack in the patzha.  It is national abkhazian restaurant with a beautiful view of the water and mountains. Tourist enjoy and get special pleasure of the traditional dishes.
