The internet has made communication easier. You can easily holla at someone that's several miles away. I wonder how it will be if these apps aren't available. Well, all thanks to technology, we can do several things on these apps; texting is just one of those things. This twenty first century has really opened our eyes to a lot of things. Who would have imagined we will be able to do these things on the internet? In fact, I don't need to meet someone before knowing virtually everything about the person. That's the power of technology. I'll be giving you four apps that has made communication easier. This list is drafted based on my opinion; I considered the ones with many users. The list is in no order.

<h4>*WhatsApp*</h4>

Whatsapp has the simplest user interface. Nobody need a guide to use it. Your phone number is the only thing you need to enjoy this app. After downloading, it will ask for your number, and a confirmation code will be sent to it. You get access immediately. If your contacts have gone through these process, then they will appear on your contact list. You can chat them up anytime, any day for free. The only thing you need is a data connection. It's also available on web, but you need to connect your phone to it. Anyway, WhatsApp is best enjoyed on mobile.

It has an option for calls. You can use that if you are too tired to type. WhatsApp also allows you to create groups just like the ones on the screenshot above. The 'status' option is what distinguishes it from many chatting apps. Users can advertise or post something nice about themselves on it for 24 hours. WhatsApp is still one of the best apps out there.

<h4>*Facebook Messenger*</h4>

One word for the UI is amazing. It's just too beautiful. Messenger can do almost everything you can do on WhatsApp and it gives you access to several other contacts. It connects you to Facebook and since you can get a lot of people there, you can chat them up anytime. A cool feature was added to it recently. The last button at the bottom is called discovery. You can add up popular business pages, sport companies or whatever you like for news and updates. Facebook messenger is more than a chatting app. It also connects you.

<h4>*Telegram*</h4>

<center>

</center>

Telegram works like WhatsApp because you need a phone number to get an account, too. It has one thing WhatsApp doesn't have though; the use of bots. Telegram can accommodate many group members, unlike WhatsApp with at most 254. And, you don't need an Admin to control the activities on the group, just a programmed bot is enough. Business wise and group settings, Telegram is a better choice than Whatsapp. Right now, it has many users just like other chatting apps. Its features stood out and it's well known for that.

<h4>*Discord*</h4>

This app was made for gamers and till date, I still wonder what gamers would do with it. Discord is like other chatting apps and it's perfect for group discussions. It uses some HTML codes to format and that's why some programmers use it. Discord is more than a chatting app. Blockchain users use it for different reasons. You can create a community there with different channels. It's like creating a group with sub groups. It's the only app with this feature, and I still haven't seen a app that can accommodate a lot of users on voice. Discord also allows the creation of bots like Telegram and it has lots of cooler bots.

*Images are screenshots from my apps.*

For chattting with friends WhatsApp is my favorite, but for topic discussions and chats, Discord id by far the best :)

Yeah. That's basically how I use both apps, too.
