Missing you my Nanay Rhodora

Good day my fellow steemians,
I made this poem to celebrate my grandmother's birthday. She would have been 84 this year. I miss her because she was really the one who took care of me when I was young. My mom had me when she was just 18 and still studying. Growing up I always hear her stories about when I was a baby. When I got married and was expecting a child of my own we had an agreement that she would take care of my baby for I was working at that time. Sad to say, before I gave birth she had a heart attack which affected her walking. She was paralyzed.
I had a dream of her the other night. It was a happy dream. I believe when our love one's pass on they don't really go away they are just there to guide us, to help us. We cannot see them but we can feel them. I know she is in the perfect, happy place now.

Missing you my Nanay Rhodora
You have been gone for ten years long.
I often think of you in silence. I often speak your name.
But all I have are memories of you that are pictured and framed.

Your memory is my keepsake with which I will never part.
Heavenly Father has you in his keeping; I have you in my heart.

Each day as I make way through life.
I am reminded of all the life lessons you have impart.
That made me who I am today.
I live and celebrate the values you instill when I was young and can't stay still.
Now I know what you exactly meant for I too am now in that exact same stage.
Teaching and instilling what you have said.

For now Nanay Dora, my memories of you, I'll treasure and hold near.
No worries, I will pass them on to those I hold dear.
I love you and always will.

She is in a beautiful place now Wel. Share ko lang kasi namiss ko lang si Nanay.
Kahit papano tayo yong nakakasama nya  sa mga huling araw ng buhay nya.
