## Exploring Boards On Pinterest

Pinterest. When I first discovered Pinterest some 7-8 years ago, I was really confused by the whole thing. My first thought was yes, it’s pretty but why is it so confusing! Now, not a day goes by where I don’t use it. The creative pool is big enough for anyone to dive in! Spaces like Pinterest, Instagram have been very helpful in sparking that need in me to create. 

It’s not just about the pretty pictures and boards but more about it’s ability to get the creative juices in my flowin’. Whenever I feel drained/exhausted in my art, I open it up for sometime and thanks to the variety of fields that I follow, there is just goodness waiting to be discovered. Be it visual artists or photographers, writers, etc. There are SO MANY artists to draw inspiration from and contribute back to the community. Also, I have learned quite a lot about composition creativity and presentation thanks to it. 

## My Magic Liquid

I am not even exaggerating when I say think about the times a cup of tea has saved my ass. Of course not directly, but by providing soothing energy when I simply don’t have it in me to deal with tough days/situations. Tea is the liquid courage/luck of my life and it basically helps me set things right when they aren’t. 

It is highly effective in my work life too. It is a small but significant reminder to relax myself when too much is going on at once. I was having a semi-puzzled day along with a gloomy weather and I knew what I needed. In no time it helped my settle back to work! 

## Watching An Artist Paint

Thanks to artist like Minniesmall, heikala, kelogsloops, salmonellafish and many others who I can watch painting when I find it difficult to coordinate with brushes. I find it highly satisfying to watch their little chatty art videos where it’s all about them and their artwork. Listening them talk about their wins and fails as artists always help my remind that it is okay if you don’t have energy for the things you are passionate about in life. It’s not like you are betraying it or yourself. Coming back with a focused and clear mind is much better than staying with a fuzzy head. All of this is helpful for generating better and thoughtful ideas. Watching other artists painting slowly makes me impatient, to the point that I can no longer afford to just sit and watch. 

## Cleaning/Laundry

When I am going back and forth from my bed to my work station and can’t commit to either I especially choose to do things like cleaning, laundry or organization. It gives an illusion of productiveness to my otherwise undecided mind. It’s like meeting halfway between the desire to work but nothing too heavy. Such activities nudge me in the direction of more productivity without being overwhelmed. Plus who doesn’t like clean surroundings!

These are a few things that help me keep going and stay true to what I am doing. While they might seem insignificant on a smaller scale, they make all the difference for me and let that artist in me be joyful! Let me know if you people have any ideas/methods that help you get on with your passion!
