When the plains in northern India were facing scorching heat, the weather of the hills were very pleasant. During my journey to Nainital, rain welcomed me. It was really a nice experience to drive car when it was raining on hilly roads. 

However, it should not be forget that hill roads are very dangerous to drive, especially in rainy season. You can expect land slide, falling of rocks from above and slippery roads every time. Every year many lives are lost there because of road accidents. In our country people know only to push accelerator, apply breaks and roll steering wheel but they don't know when to apply them and to which extent. They don't have traffic sense. So, it is wise to take an experienced driver when to visit hills. Safety is very important. 
Be safe, be alert. Enjoy!
