You can have confidence in using the name of Jesus!

Peter and John had some confidence among them, the audacity that others recognized, came from being with Jesus. This audacity was not an earthly confidence in his own skills and abilities. Peter and John radiated this audacity because they trusted in the power of God that was in them, and you can have that same confidence today.

Very often we focus on our own lack of skill or experience, but we have the same Spirit living in us that the disciples had. He will empower you at this time, both to share Jesus with others and to build an incredible life. You have the power of God within you to help you build good relationships, to live a life that is the envy of those around you, to overcome any obstacle that gets in your way and to always be stronger.

If you do not feel this confidence, perhaps it is time to remind yourself that the creator of the universe lives within you. Take your focus away from what is missing and spend a quiet moment with God today. Simply attune yourself to his presence and allow Him to imbue you.

Spending time with God strengthens you and allows you to handle things you could never handle on your own. Then, when facing problems, remember that you can declare His promises about every situation, in the name of Jesus. Trust to use that name because it is your right, and you have the power not only to go through difficult times, but to overcome, prosper, build and succeed!
