actually, sbd was not pegged to bitcoin but paired, means steem/sbt was converted to bitcoin in the market not in fiat usd.. basically, it always vary the price of bitcoin. when bitcoin up or fluctuate, the price of sbd will always affected positive or negative way. In whitepaper it was pegged to usd assuming it will follows, all the algorithm pointed 1 sbd as 1 usd
