A internet é uma ferramenta de informação extraordinária, bastante útil, e assume um papel cada vez mais determinante na disseminação de informação.
O problema é que não discrimina, ou seja, a informação circula livremente com um grau de escrutínio bastante baixo, na verdade não existe qualquer tipo de hierarquização.
Hoje temos acesso a todo o tipo de informação, tanto importa a opinião de um Nobel, como a de um analfabeto que fala de mais, e com isto não discrimino aqueles que não tiveram acesso à educação, de maneira alguma, e mais à frente vão perceber onde quero chegar.

O verdadeiro problema é que se não há cultura no receptor, a internet rapidamente se transforma em barulho e caos.
Faz falta um público instruído, um público com cultura que saiba distinguir o que é importante do que não é, que saiba hierarquizar para que dessa forma seja capaz de absorver adequadamente as toneladas de informação que circulam livremente pela internet.
Por vezes, muitas das vezes, a internet mais do que educar ou informar, desinforma e torna as coisas complicadas, e neste contexto a educação e cultura de um povo marcam a diferença, e é aqui que reside a verdadeira força do povo enquanto cidadão, e talvez seja razão mais do que suficiente para que os governos deixem para segundo plano de importância determinadas áreas de interesse, restringindo orçamentos baseando-se em crises intermináveis...

O tempos mudaram, assim como a forma como a informação é disseminada e absorvida, caminhamos para um futuro onde a informação será bastante confusa, onde a falsidade e a manipulação será facilmente vendida, a internet é uma arma bastante útil, sou o primeiro a admitir, sou um adepto fervoroso da internet, mas consciente de que o que tem de útil, tem de perigoso e é terreno fértil para totalitarismos, demagogias, perversidades sociais, políticas e económicas, temos exemplos recentes de campanhas políticas que através da internet, mais concretamente redes sociais, obtiveram resultados absolutamente irreais...
A única solução é a educação, a cultura, que as pessoas se instruam e tenham o senso comum que lhes permita diferenciar o tipo de informação com que são bombardeadas diariamente, porque nem tudo o que parece é...
