Yet another rainy day, and I can't make my photography post.

Anyway, I prepared you a story about my former country, Yugoslavia and how it became ruined.

# Lesson No.1: "The government shoul'do!"

For my Yugoslavian friends, you know the phrase: *"Država treba d'uradi"*.
There is a specific way of pronouncing "The Government Should Do", that becomes passionate, desperate cry "shoul'do".

We had the economy that was based mainly on the help of government.

Our companies were not entering the free market, but some strange, weird local market, where factory A was producing some product for the factory B, then for C, ... Z... ending in pointless circles.

Management was strangled by the global rules about the salary, a number of workers, tech, products, nationality of the workers - everything.

Of course, every few years many factories with thousands of workers demanded that the "The government shoul'do!" and help them survive. 

There was no competition, no new products, no desire to improve the quality.
And at some point, we knew everything, except finding some investors.

### When you are in trouble, simply shout: "The government shoul'do!"

### Moral of the story: let it burn, let it fall if it's not sustainable, don't intervene too much. Don't play on populism.

# Story No.2: "I can't be paid low enough, as much I can not-work"

The salaries were low and turned to lower, but nobody cared because the rule was centralized.
You could work more and you could become more tired. 
Your salary would be the same and your position would be the same. 

So the right solution was to simply work less. And less. And less...
Finally, not to work at all. 

### Moral of the story: quality should be rewarded and it should be difficult

# Lesson No.3: "Laws are there to be broken"

It started long time ago, maybe in the 70's but erupted during the war(s).

When I was a kid, everything around me was - mine. 
That tree over there, it's mine tree. And that mountain.
And that road, it's mine road.
And that wall of the school, that was mine as well.

Because that was MY country! Our country!

Try to demolish anything of that and you are the enemy of the state. 
We had that "guard dog" mentality.

Then the war erupted and it was not our country anymore.
Nobody cared about the common good.

### Moral of the story: be a fearless guard dog, stand your ground

# Lesson No.4: "We became afraid of the powerful"

*"Šahbaz ti k'o mačija guza bolan, k'o mačija guza..."*
With the poor economy and ruined moral values, we started a tribalism.

And now the absurds became the reality during the war:
* Gasoline was scarce, thus the criminals became the Gods if they could smuggle it
* The same goes with the cigars
* Warlords were renting tanks, guns, and artillery 

As there were no applicable laws, criminal thrived from the top state level to the house level. 

# Lesson No.5: "Not a single one was innocent anymore"

After a decade without the laws, we were all dirty:

* Top bastard was selling the guns, earned 10.000.000 $
* Bastard below him was selling the gasoline, earned 1.000.000
* Middle-class bastard built the house at the middle of the Natural Park
* Poor-man bastard used the company's car for own stuff, 100 $ worth
* And the poorest-man bastard stole the toilet paer, duckt-tape and some glue (1 $)

# <center> And now, 20 years after, it can't be fixed </center>

After the war, tens of thousands of people went to Western Europe.
They were sick of that ruined system. Tired of everything. 

You can't move the elite by accusing them for something because you are guilty for something as well.
We all have each other in our hands.
It's all interconnected. 

People understood the manipulation and became friends again.
We have "Balkan Discord" and YU-STEM and we have united again in this virtual world.

# Considering the STEM:
-------------
* Don't shout that the top management "shoul'do"! Do your best. Keep doing it. Do it some more time. Now you can shout.
* Become a guard dog, this is your community, your playground. Protect the values and virtues of your society.
* Keep the quality of your posts **elite**. If you haven't got the reward, write 5 new, better posts.
* Don't be afraid. Get a flag, get 100 flags, but save the idea. 
* If you save the idea, and make something **elite** you will attract the investments. Don't sell the country for a toilet paper. Ideas survived the plague, WWI, WWII, don't be afraid of bad times.
* Stay clean! You need to be without a sin. If you are **clean**, you will perceive this as **yours**, and you will be a **guard dog** willing to protect the home and family. If you are all of that, you will be **fearless** and you will be able to build the future. 
* Who knows what, maybe start-up, maybe sci. the project, maybe Kickstarter project... But you need to keep the spirit alive. 

If we keep ruining the system and continue to see this as the place for easy money, we will be like the former republics, the bottom of Europe.
