As a Christian we must listen to the voice of God.

Normally for people it is not easy to hear the voice of God let's review the words of the bible about the voice of God:

Adam hid himself from the voice of God because of the guilt and shame of his sin. And this is exactly where much of God's people are today: hidden, fearful of hearing the voices of God!
Maybe you have indifferent Christian friends who don't like going to church with you. When you met them, they lived carefree. In fact, they were loaded with guilt and shame, but they were not ready to give up their secret sin.
When he brought them to church, the word of God pierced his conscience. They knew that they heard the voice of God, calling them:
Where are you, what are you doing?
It is likely that fear struck their hearts.
The holy presence of Jesus made their sin disgusting and they couldn't wait to run out of the church and hide.
Brothers and Sisters, if you want to hear the voice of God, you must be ready for complete purification. You must voluntarily discover all sin and expel it.
Every day thousands of thoughts visit me every hour and I ask myself, But what is my relationship with God? Is there a real desire in me to do the will of God in thoughts, words, and deeds? When I have such a desire, He opens my ear so I can hear his voice. I never heard the voice of God like, for example, I hear people around, but I know that God speaks to me every day.

When the Lord's word told Elijah to go and stand on the mountain before the Lord, God was not in a strong wind, crushing mountains and rocks, and even more, neither in an earthquake nor in a fire. So, I can hear the gentle breeze, when I find myself in a difficult situation, a Bible verse comes to mind that strengthens me.
God reminds me to do good, but at the same time, he points out the sin that lives in my human nature. For example, I may be tempted to annoy the people I meet in everyday life, although I want to be a blessing to them. If my ear is open and I hear that God is pointing out to me my own selfish requirements, which are the source of the problem, then I have the opportunity to crucify these requirements and so I can change.
When I don't doubt, but immediately obey, He continues talking to me. It is not always so easy to obey this voice. So I have to give up my own will, my own desires and my own point of view to fulfill what the gentle wind tells me. If I listen and do what I listen to, then my connection to God becomes stronger and deeper.
I must give up my own wishes and my point of view to fulfill what the gentle wind says.
From personal experience, I know that when I read the Bible and pray, He sends me help to fulfill His will. He speaks very clearly. He shows me not only how to improve the external state of things, but also points out sin in my human nature, which makes life difficult for me and those around me. When I pray in need of my sin, He gives me the opportunity to overcome this sin and gives me the necessary strength for this.
Approaching God means that I am open and ready to fulfill His will. I have to be close to Him to hear Him. If I don't like God's commandments, I will always be on the sidelines. "Let all who have an ear listen": this instruction is repeated many times in Revelation. If I listen, I receive from God my nutrition for my spirit. And so, I can be of help to those around me. It really is a life pleasing to God.
Attention to the voice of God and obedience to Him can make you happy. God wants to free you from sinful human nature. When I hear his voice in everyday life situations, he begins to do his job for me. This process is called sanctification.
If you want to hear God's guiding voice, you must first be prepared to allow your soul to cleanse itself.
