<p>Extreme sport is many times called action or adventure sports and even though there is not an exact list of sports that fit in this category, it is anything that has a potential danger for the person taking part in it.</p>
<blockquote>Extreme sports often involve high speeds, dangerous heights, the requirement for a high level of specialist technical skill, and highly specialized gear or equipment. </blockquote>
<p>Since 1990 when extreme sports were being broadcast on 'ESPN's X games' it has become more and more popular among all ages or men and women and children. We call these people 'adrenaline junkies' and they just want to do more and more dangerous things.</p>
<p>There are different types of extreme sport and different places where it can take place, like for instance</p>

<li>'height based' that can be sports like bungee jumping, paragliding. bridge swinging etc.</li>
<li>'water based' are sports like scuba diving, kite surfing and whitewater rafting etc.</li>
<li>'wheel extreme sports' are things like mountain biking and motocross</li>
<li>'winter based sport' like snow boarding and skiing</li>
<li>'cliff and cave based sport' such as caving and free diving etc.</li>

<p>The first summer X Games were held in 1995 and the first winter games in 1997. It is usually held in the USA but it has also stated in Asia since 1998 and Europe since 2010.</p>
