Biography of Leonardo da Vinci

Who does not know Leonardo da Vinci. The whole world knows him. He is known as a renowned artist who once lived in the world. He is also listed as the most genius who ever existed in the world known to have an IQ of 220. Leonardo da Vinci is an architect, musician, writer, sculptor, and painter of the Italian Renaissance. He is described as the archetype of "renaissance man" and as a universal genius. Leonardo is famous for his skillful paintings, such as the Last Supper and the Mona Lisa. He is also known for designing many creations that anticipate modern technology but rarely made during his lifetime, for example his ideas about tanks and cars poured through two colors images. In addition, he also advanced the science of anatomy, astronomy, and civil engineering even also culinary. Leonardo was born in 1452 in the city of Vinci, the province of Florence, the Italian child of Ser Piero Da Vinci and Caterina, so his full name is Leonardo di Ser Piero da Vinci which means Leonardo son of Ser Piero from the town of Vinci.

In 1476 he was charged with a homosexual case with a model of a teenage boy named Jacopo Saltarelli. So many years that Leonardo was always under the supervision of the authorities. At a young age, he had studied painting with Andrea del Verrocchio and began painting in Firenze. There is news tells Verrochio retired to paint after witnessing that his painting of this one student is better than his own painting. In addition to being a painter Leonardo is also able to demonstrate his abilities in other fields.

In 1481 Leonardo moved to Milan to work with the Duke there. His most famous work in Milan was the Sforza Horse he worked on for about 11 years. But there he not only painted and made statues, but also changed the streets of the river and built canals, and entertain the Duke by playing lut and singing. Then he worked for King Louis XII of France in Milan and for Pope Leo X in Rome

Meanwhile he helped Raphael and Michaelangeo in designing St. Peter's cathedral. In his life Leonardo was very interested in science. He began studying flying birds and started designing flying machines. That thought is in his 7,000-page notebook. In the book there is also a sketch of the study of the human body.

In those days, the anatomy of the human body was nothing more than roughly because anyone was strictly forbidden to dissect the corpse. With his stubbornness to steal the chance to dissect the bodies of the dead, later in the day the unusual acts of his day made a huge contribution to the world of medicine.

How Did Leonardo Da Vinci Produce a Masterpiece ?

Leonardo did not want to make an artwork, but he wanted to create a Masterpiece. A work of art with such beautifully colorful compositions with almost perfect detail as the original, so that all who see it will be fascinated and touched by his heart. But that's not the main thing ..

His work is his highest offering to God. Leonardo wanted to make such a beautiful work, so even God would be glad to see it. Throughout his life no less than 30 bodies he had surgery and learned. It's disgusting, but disgust is not really a big and important matter compared to the greatness of his work and the advancement of human anatomy.

Image : Monalisa

Since childhood, he likes to read in his father's library in Florence. As an adult, Leonardo was able to have his own library with a large collection of books including from Dante and Petrarch. His subjects also ranged from mathematics, anatomy, medicine, to books about warfare. From there his knowledge became increasingly widespread and sharp. Leonardo is also a visionary. He for example has imagined flying machines like helicopters, vehicles with iron shields (like tanks), or ships that can move under the sea. He even designed a mechanical man known as the Leonardo Robot, a "robot" design that is often considered the first robot in history.

However, his greatest work is of course the Monalisa. This beautiful woman's painting is the culmination of all her knowledge about coloring, light, perspective, and-not to forget-the anatomy of the human body. In the painting, he uses a very high and hard to imitate painting technique, sfumato, a technique that makes painting look like a foggy, unfocused, with an incredibly soft and delicate inter-color transition. Monalisa looks so alive, even his smile was inviting curious from all the people who see it until now.

Why did the Monalisa smile? Why does he look so happy? No one can answer that question with certainty. Another very valuable painting is "The Last Supper," The Last Supper, which dramatically portrayed Jesus' last supper with his 12 disciples before he was betrayed and crucified.

Image : The Last Supper

(In Dan Brown's famous book of fiction, "The Da Vinci Code" (2003), The Last Supper, is said to contain the greatest mystery in the history of the heavily guarded Christians, even with the lives of its patrons for thousands of years). Leonardo produced many works of art and various other stunning designs before his death on May 2, 1519. Until now, even Einstein and Isaac Newton were considered not able to match the genius of Leonardo da Vinci.

Is Leonardo da Vinci a Member of Priory of Sion And Templar Knights ?

After his death, it is strongly suspected that he once held the role of the strongest man in a secret organization called the Priory of Sion which was based on the Templar Knight. What is this secret organization? Many facts lead to the allegation that the Priory of Sion is an organization that guards the strictly secret Christian history according to different versions of the gospel that circulate in society. But this still needs a deep study and research.

There are many secrets left behind by Leonardo Da Vinci especially in his paintings which are now heavily debated and the research of experts such as the famous Monalisa and The Last Supper. Many say that Leonardo Da Vici knows the important secrets and leaves the instructions through his paintings. As written in Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code novel, in his novel, he has much to say about the existence of the Priory of Sion, the Knights Templar as well as the figure of Mary Magdalene as the wife of Jesus and also alludes to Leonardo Da Vinci, although the novel by Dan Brown is an essay and Dan Brown at the end of his novel wrote down the notes that all the descriptions, architecture, documents, and secret rituals in his novel are accurate.

Leonardo's genius is evident from the many fields he has mastered. He is a painter, sculptor, inventor, researcher, engineer, anatomist, mathematician, plant and animal expert, optician, aerodynamic, and even a capable musician. He learns without limits. Of course this is not hard because he does not work hard, he just "have fun". To paint humans, he specifically studied the anatomy of the human body.

Leonardo is probably the craziest learner. While studying anatomy, he likes to go out at night, dismantle the grave, and pick up the corpses of unfamiliar people who are almost rotten and dissect them. Sometimes he did it in the hospital that gave him permission. He really wants to know why the human body is shaped like that. That way, he can be more detail in making his paintings.
