You're not going to sell me on the notion that Lynds' decision to speak out on this was a bad idea. Nobody will. @lyndsaybowes is my spirit animal and whatever that lady does, however she does it, and whenever and wherever she does it is, for me, a perfect thing. She's fuckin' fearless! We should all take a page out of her book!

But I can see what you mean about time and space. I believe this situation is not totally irredeemable and could turn itself into something really great, if only, right?

These guys are way too good at what they do to fail long-term. And I believe each of them will do just fine with or without our opinions. I just wish when ...EHEM! ...some of us with years of experience working through this type of poisonous shit pipe up, they'd... COUGH, COUGH, EHEM... fuckin' listen and get with it. Know what I sayin'? Hurd meh?

True. I still question the wisdom of all this because FT and Bernie will still end up on the same side of Steem history: fighting spam. Together. Plus having defended Bernie against Haejin back in the day, Lynds understands his character. This crap-fight is not a big deal. It is most likely an ego clash. Let them ride it out and allow it die a natural death.

Sure. I'm all for that. But at what cost to the rest of us? Should we hang back and be afraid to attract attention, just simpering and hoping that some day, maybe, it'll be okay to be ourselves when the big fish(es) learn how not to snatch at us for no good reason? Fuck that! The very thing that makes some of us, like @lyndsaybowes (and me, if I'm being especially perky) stand out from the rest is our refusal to stop doin' like we do- even in the face of a threat to our own well being. I see it as the ultimate fuck-you.

Who's to say that in a little while, with the right mix of luck and persistence, I won't be a big fish here? When that time comes, I will still be just me, doin' like I do, so why not go ahead today and do it the best I can for the sake of everyone? Leading by example doesn't feel good a lot of the time but following for the sake of just getting along feels a whole lot worse.
