So suddenly I found myself inclined to do three things, write a song or a poem about weed, use the word "inclined" correctly, and not start a new sentence with "so", in this post I hope to accomplish two out of three of those things. So today I decided to get to the bottom of my abilities and see if being inclined to find a rhyme in kind of being high is divined when aliened and entwined with a bind that combined a lyrical mind feeling pined to being enshrined and a confined guide that tried and mined a song about getting high or is the mind that grinds will find being opined and shined is aligned with a line that is unfeigned yet unkind..... I don't know either, it took me an hour to write that and I ultimately said nothing.

You see to write a song about weed, what you need is speed and to plant a seed that exceeds your.... I'm not doing this again sorry, but I learned that it has to come from something personal, being high is it's own logic, one you cannot relive or copy when you're not high which is sad because I've never been actually high for once in my life as I was always inclined to refuse weed when offered. They'd say something like "Hey Amir, would you like to smoke this?" and I'd say "nah". Not sure if the idea needed an example there. 

So writing a song about weed is supposed to be happy with a nice cool vibe to it which isn't my thing simply put. If I'm left to write something on own accord (Or is it OF my own accord? make sure to send this to @take5 before posting, also buy new headsets) I always go to the most dark ending, all of my stories end with all characters dead, plus some people  Switzerland, those neutral motherfuckers I never cared for them, so a song about weed at my hands and with my usual mood? It will probably end up with the guy getting arrested and tortured before getting executed and all of that would be just the first verse. So I decided to get high myself before writing this and just write my own experience, however I realized writing a post about my experience of getting high will consist of me writing about me getting high while writing the post which is about me writing a post while getting high, so this whole thing would make a better sequel to inception than it is a song about weed. 

So I decided instead to write about people who smoke weed and what they do, however, I don't any crazy-high stories to share as people I witnessed getting high were doing it at home while playing video games, and doesn't matter how much of a genius you are at writing songs, you can't write much where most of what's being said is "Goal, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" it's just not much to work with, you know.  

There's one guy that comes to mind for me when it comes to being uniquely high and his name is Adam Tarik.  I've known Adam since 1999, he was like 17 at the time, I was 5, and from the minute I first him to the last he was always high, which is weird because Iraq isn't exactly a weed type of place (At least not at the time) but this guy always had cigaweed on him, and he was broke, later I found out that he actually grew them. Anyway, we used to have a bakery in our little side street, it was a beautiful one that we as kids loved hanging by, mainly because the baker would often give the stuff he wasn't going to sell, like badly made cakes, or cookies, which didn't matter to us how bad they were because SUGAR!!!! right next to the bakery was the baker's house and that's where Adam was all the time as he a had a thing for the baker's daughter, and he'd just stand there and sing to her for hours while she almost gets a heart attack trying to shush him, she just had that look that says "Dude if you don't we're both going to get killed!" and the reason she had that look is because, well, it's Iraq, so it's probably true. I never understood how Adam never got caught, or even better, how come no one told on him, it's like the whole street decided unanimously on Adam not getting caught. 

The Adam/Baker's daughter relationship started when Adam was 17, and by relationship I mean Adam showing up everyday and starts singing while the girl would throw water at his head or just random rotten fruits and vegetables so he goes away. One day during school finals my dad was taking my sisters to school and me to work with him when we passed him 7:30 AM standing outside the baker's house and singing again in school uniform. The guy actually got high on his way to school and went to the baker's house instead of TAKING HIS EXAMS.  From the time I've known Adam all the way to 2003 he was always there doing the same thing, my first contact with him came three years after knowing where I snuck him into my house because he wanted to pee so bad and didn't want to go to his house because it was far and he wanted to get back in time for the girl's "7 O'clock appearance". I've seen Adam do everything possible for that girl, and he used to always make sure to take at least one picture of her per day. 

Eventually, the war happened and things changed, the bakery was damaged badly and the baker decided to sell it to a guy that tore it down and built a house instead. Few months later the baker moved out and so did we a year after that, and on our way out leaving the street, we actually passed by dad who was standing in front of an empty house singing and taking pictures.


So I guess this is my attempt 

Back in the old days of joy 
We had bakery in our street
Where Every girl and boy 
Used to play, run and meet

And there was Adam getting high
Standing in the baker's daughter's sight
As she throws fruits at him as he hides
And sings from under the wall he hid behind

Never forget those nights
And remember Adam getting high

We used to play for hours 
Around the neighborhood
And ran with little flowers 
When the baker had the goods

When the baker's daughter angrily cried 
At Adam as he was getting high 
Climbing the walls 
And taking pictures from behind 

Never forget those nights
And remember Adam getting high

The Baker's daughter got married
And her family moved away 
And the bakery was buried
And a house took it's place 

Yet Adam still stands there  days and nights
Waiting for the baker's daughter to come and fight
Holding a camera 
Waiting for her to come outside
