Here is what is called "the new morality," which is presented as a subject of modern ethics, tolerant and respectful; However, it is a serious danger for many who are not firm in their faith. Many believers think that they can accept Christ, and then live in any way, in "their" way, but not in the manner of Christ. But, if you are a true child of God, you will not stoop to that level.

The message to the church in Sardis, was warned of the danger of spiritual death. Jesus Christ said to her: You have a name that you live, and you are dead. Do you attend, dear friend listener to a church that Christ would evaluate as "alive"? And you, are you alive, spiritually speaking?


Then, we have seen the message to the church in Philadelphia. Jesus Christ did not have any word of condemnation for that church, but he did make a recommendation. He said: Keep what you have. What did they have? He praised them because he faithfully kept His Word. That warning also affects us, because we must be very careful to be faithful to His Word, and keep it as a treasure. So many people who started their journey as committed Christians loved the Word of God, kept it, but throughout their lives, they left the law of God, denying the faith that once was so important to them.

We now come to chapter 4. We have seen the history of the church in the previous 3 chapters, but now what happened to the Church? From chapter 4, until the end of the book of Revelation, the Church is no longer mentioned, except at the end of the book. But from now on, we will not find the word "church", which however was mentioned 19 times in the first 3 chapters of Revelation. Why? Because "the rapture or gathering" of all the members that belonged to that Church took place. Because the whole Church, surprisingly, instantaneously, and supernaturally was moved to meet Jesus Christ in the clouds, and is taken by Him to Heaven. This event will take place during the symbolic period of the Philadelphia church, leaving on Earth a religious organization that will pass the Great Tribulation. We will see that organism again when it is called the Great Harlot, or prostitute. Chapter 17 of Revelation is the most terrifying picture we find in the Bible. Will we see the Church again? Yes, but it is no longer the "Church"; will we see her as a girlfriend? a bride adorned and prepared for the husband. Chapters 4 through 22 cover the last division, the broadest of this amazing book of Revelation.

Remember that Jesus Christ himself gave the apostle John the division of this book. He said to him: Write down the things you have seen, and what they are, and what they must be after them. (Rev. 1:19) This is in Greek, "meta-tauta", the things that must be after these. So, when we come to this chapter 4 of Revelation, what do we find

The Church is not a name, but a definition of those who have trusted in Christ at this time. We must have something clear in our minds: The word "church" is derived from the Greek noun, "ekklesia"; and ek-kaleo, means "call out". Therefore "ekklesia" means "a group of people called out (out) of the world". When the church reaches its destination, to Heaven, it loses that name for which it was known in the world. Now, other terms are used to describe it. Let's see it in chapter 4, how the 24 elders represent the church in Heaven. We will also see the church in Heaven as the Bride, descending to her new home, the new Jerusalem.</center>
