Smoothie time! How I love raspberries. Not only are they super delicious but they are packed with loads of essential and health promoting nutrients. Raspberries are an excellent source of vitamin C, manganese, and dietary fiber. They are also rich in B vitamins,  copper, folic acid, and iron.

And then there's kale. Touted as the king of leafy greens it houses a broad range of antioxidants, calcium, nitrates, skin-enhancing carotenoids and other phytonutrients such as lutein and zeaxanthin, which may improve your eyesight and reduce the risk of glaucoma. 

So much plant goodness in a glass!

## Ingredients (serves 2 for breakfast)
2 cups fresh kale, packed
2 bananas chunks (frozen for extra creaminess)
1.5 cup raspberries (fresh or frozen)
fresh mint leaves to taste
2 tsp chia seeds
2 cups water
raw cacao powder (optional), to taste

## Instructions
1. Blend kale, mint, and water until smooth.
2. Add the remaining ingredients and blend again.
3. Optional: Add superfoods/toppings - such as goji berries, chia seeds, or raw cacao nibs - if you like.

### Recipe Notes
Use one or more frozen fruits to chill the smoothie.
If the smoothie is too thick for you, add more liquid base.
If you have a  high-speed blender, you can throw in everything at once.
