<div class=text-justify>ทุกคนน่าจะเคยได้ยินคำนี้กันมาบ้าง “มีเงินเป็นน้องมีทองนั้นเป็นพี่” เป็นคำโบราณถึงแสดงให้เห็นค่านิยมของการนับหน้าถือตาสำหรับคนที่ร่ำรวย คำว่าร่ำรวยของแต่ละคนนั้นอาจจะไม่เหมือนกัน คนที่อดอยากแค่ขอมีข้าวกินทุกมื้อก็อาจจะถือว่าร่ำรวยแล้ว แต่บางคนมีเงินล้านก็บอกว่ายังไม่รวยอยากจะมีเงินเป็นสิบล้านหรือมากกว่านี้ </div><br></br>

<div class=text-justify>ไม่ได้มาบอกว่าความคิดหรือค่านิยมแบบนี้ผิดหรือถูก แต่อยากจะบอกแค่ว่าคำจำกัดความของคำว่ารวยของแต่ละคนไม่เหมือนกัน เพราะประชาชนในบางประเทศนั้นข้าวหนึ่งมื้อหรือน้ำสะอาดเพียงน้อยนิดยังหายากมากๆ มีรายงานประจำปีขององค์กรการกุศล Oxfam ที่เป็นองค์กรที่ทำการเพื่อยุติความยากจน ได้ระบุว่าความเหลื่อมล้ำไม่เท่าเทียมกันทางเศรษฐกิจกำลังแย่ลงไปทุกที และผู้หญิงจะเป็นเพศที่ได้รับผลกระทบมากที่สุด เพราะต้องเสียเวลาในการทำงานดูแลครอบครัวซึ่งไม่มีมูลค่าทางเศรษฐกิจ พูดง่ายว่าเป็นสิ่งที่ต้องทำเป็นภาระหน้าที่ความรับผิดชอบ </div><br></br>

<div class=text-justify>ในรายงานของ Oxfam ยังระบุว่า ผู้ชายที่เป็นเศรษฐีร่ำรวยเงินทองบนโลกนี้จำนวน 22 คนมีความมั่งคั่งมากกว่าผู้หญิงในทวีปแอฟริการวมกันจำนวน 325 ล้านคนข้อมูลจากรายงานยังแสดงให้เห็นว่าทั่วโลกมีอภิมหาเศรษฐีจำนวน 2153 คน ครอบครองทรัพย์สินมากกว่าคนที่ยากจนที่สุดรวมกันจำนวน 4.6 พันล้านคนซึ่งเป็นจำนวนมกกว่าครึ่งของคนบนโลกใบนี้ และจำนวนคนรวยมีจำนวนเพิ่มมากขึ้นเป็น 2 เท่าจาก 10 ปีที่แล้ว </div><br></br>
