Hello to all steemit-friends, today I want to tell the latest of my trips to Rome and let you take part in some architectural wonders that only the Eternal city can offer ,in the eyes and especially to the hearts of tourists and lucky residents of the capital.

It had been almost 3 years since my last return to Italy from my parents .. and after a few days of relaxation, good food, meetings with family, friends and small motorcycle trips in the most characteristic villages of central Italy, I decided to show the beauties of Rome to my wife, who had never visited the city.
The trip starts early at 6 am to go to the train station, which takes about an hour to get to the central station of Roma Termini. Immediately decide to go to take the subway to visit St. Peter's Square and the interior of the basilica, because it is very large, requires more time, and also depending on the amount of tourists who also want to visit it.

Arrived there the wonder of the place and the architectural magnificence, already almost full of tourists, are extraordinary! Even for those like me, there has already been ... just make the queue to enter and watch the passage of the Pope in his car, to find the best place to see it up close.

Thanks also to the advice of my cousin who works there, as security for many years, we can find a nice place! : P But above all we get permission to visit the Basilica, empty without tourists! Great luck..and great honor !! Let's go in..

Great ... how big is the sum of money they stole to build all this !  ... but leave it alone ... let's enjoy the trip. Sorry if some photos are a bit blurry, but they are the only ones in memory in my cell phone, since many were in my wife's cell phone, which lost him a few months ago! :(  We leave St. Peter, with the certainty of returning the next day to visit the interior of the city Vatican. We head for the shopping street and of course to eat something on the fly and continue our tur to Piazza del Popolo.

And after having recharged our energy, with a nice lunch in one of the local restaurants near the Piazza, and got a good coffee that only in Italy you can taste ... let's go to the famous and enchanting Phanteon .

The sun goes and returns behind the clouds, the important thing is that it does not rain! After other tours in shops and shopping streets, you have already eaten something, and we return to Termini station to eat and wait for our friends who have invited us to spend the night at their home to be together, have dinner, drink a good wine and rest for the following day.

The following day after having a good breakfast and saying goodbye to our friends for hospitality, we return to the Termini station and we go to meet him .. The Flavio Amphitheater, or Colosseum, name due to a large statue that he found them originally.

I recommend you visit this square and admire the beautiful sculptures carved in the column that tell the great battles of the emperor Trajan..Recommendations to go to this square because near there are many nice shops to buy souvenir and there is a large habano house for those who smoke cigars like me : D. After so wandering between shops and meals it is now time to return to the city of the Vatican to enter with my cousin who works there and visit a little, since the rain is approaching.

Last rays of sun, to give way to an unpleasant rain, which has slowed our travels and fortunately decreased the buy of my wives and souvenirs. The journey ends in this way, with a wealth of gifts, but also full of emotions that only a wonderful city like Rome can offer! It is not rhetoric and exaggeration, I have already been there several times, but this last trip struck me and made me fall in love with the beauties of the eternal city! I highly recommend for those who had never been to Rome to visit the city, it is the greatest gift you can make in your life!!!
