Last minute short trip to lake Balaton | Holiday vibes

## We needed a break
My boyfriend works his butt off at work, and with that I mean he does the job of several people as the employer still has way too little people on the floor (after 10 months of promises that there will be new people soon). He is good at his job, and he likes his job, but I see a shift of his mood lately he doesn't sleep well and he is agitated a lot after a day at the office. The initial holiday he would have has been split in three, a few days in July (now), some in August and some in September. This means we were not planning on going away for the summer, but I decided we needed it badly, and so I looked for a super cheap last minute trip to Lake Balaton...

## I was lucky finding a brand new apartment close to the lake
Looking for accomodation in the place everyone recommended at the lake there was not a single room available that was affordable, meaning 125 euro per night minimum (and not the most fancy places for that money those were even more expensive!). That was not going to happen, so after a morning of searching through the options, I decided to look at another place that was close to the train station (as we are traveling by train) and close to the lake too. I got lucky to find a place with 5 apartments brand new (opened for only 1 week!) that I could book for two nights paying even less than the other options for one night! Win win situation, as everything is brand new and clean! After doubting all afternoon too, I found it enough and booked it. Life is not only about working and making money, we need to have a break too sometimes and our daughter deserves a bit of holiday feeling too. So the next day we were leaving to the lake! Yay!

## First time in a train in Hungary
This was a bit exciting as everyone said you really NEED to book first class because second class is hell, don't do that bla bla bla.. Then we bought the tickets, finding out there is not first class in those trains.. So we thought, we'll see tomorrow when we leave. The picture above is taken from the train, the first glimpse we could see of the lake. Instant holiday feeling! I got super excited, and could not wait until we arrived at our destination. By the way the train was not that bad at all, I've been in worse trains in Holland actually. And it only costed us 4000 HUF (that's about 13 euro at the moment I guess) for the three of us (family discount traveling with a child under 18, don't forget to select that discount if you are traveling with a child here!) for a train ride of almost 2 hours... In Holland this is impossible lol..

## Sneak peek
I will post more good pictures soon, as I have made plenty.. But I wanted to give a heads up here, as I was absent the last days on Steemit. I was really too busy enjoying our well deserved short stay at the lake. I took my laptop with me, but we only used it once to watch a movie... Our first meal there looked more promising on the menu than it actually was lol, but at least it was not expensive and we weren't hungry after this (it was way too much for us lol). Don't remember the restaurant, as I was not too impressed..

## Too bad we're back home
I would not have a problem staying some extra days, but everything was fully booked. So headed back home today. I was happy that I could use my laundry machine lol, I hate having laundry without being able to wash them.. So today I will be a good housewife before I spoil everyone with new posts. This was definitely a very good last minute decision which I will not regret a second.

Short holidays when you are feeling the stress is always good. It is a breather and you can look at things with fresh eyes. The lake looks wonderful and sometimes looking for an apartment is better than a hotel...Glad you enjoyed it!

Yes they are, we should do it more often as it's only a train ride away from home.. such a different environment.. and luckily the summer is not over yet :) I don't like hotels, too crowded mostly (if it's affordable) usually we end up in the coolest apartments for a good price .. I found plenty of them in Spain too..

Business has been a little down this year so no holiday plans. The original plan was Kenya.

Am glad you managed to make it work... Guess there's nothing like a determined girl-power, she always  gets what she wants...lol.

Too bad, but that's been the case here too last years so I feel you.. Well my boyfriend is very easy when it comes to these things.. he will follow when I book something like this haha. And he loves getting out of the house too, so he's happy when I initiate something like this ;) Easy for me, I got freehand in these things, as I always seem to find the best deals anyway haha..

If you want steem basic income you need to send 1 steem (not sbd) to @steembasicincome then you can sponsor another account (the 1 steem is for 2 people!) you only need to put the other account (like @anouk.nox) in the memo and in a day or 6 (I believe this is the waiting period right now) you will get a memo from them saying that your account is enrolled. Of course you can also send more steem for more shares.. the more you have, the higher the upvote.. plus if you upvote their posts (I do this with steemauto) with 100% you get more shares!

It's nice to take a break from it all and see something new - all work and no play makes jack a dull boy :)  A couple weeks ago my family went down to the lake to spend the week with with more family - lots of fun and the lake kept us cool :)

Ah so you did the same hehe, only a different lake :) I am always thinking it's too expensive etc but I got sick of being in Budapest only, and my boyfriend really needed a break too. Got really lucky to find this apartment as we were one of the first guests.. so it just had to be like this lol.. it was waiting for us... I hope to come back soon, lots of nice spots there at the lake, this place turned out super (without investigating it first lol) so glad we did it.. we need to have a break sometimes.. it was supposed to be bad weather (as in rain and cloudy both days) but we left in the rain, to arrive in burning sun there.. weather was awesome, only too windy to get in to the lake with the little one.. too bad but still had fun
