Marawi is Free But My Maute Terrorist Experience and Trauma Remains

President Duterte has already declared that Marawi is free.Yes it is free but the damages has been done and the trauma of the victims and the lives that lost will never be forgotten.I do not understand why there are this creatures who kills innocent lifes and ruins the future of the Marawi People.

I have my own personal expreince from  the escape Maute terroist that I thougth it will end up my life and my son life.Until now the trauma from that MAUTE terrosrist remains in my son thoughts that he keep talking about  our Maute terrosrist group expereince.

Last May 2017 I travel to My  province Cagayan De Oro City to figured out if what is going on with my RTW business then I figured out when I got there that my family steal  my sales and my stocks.And because of Im lossing hope with my business that I cannot trust my family that they ruined my business I decided to go back to Manila by first week of June through 2go ship.Martial law was implented at that time at the entire Mindanao so I was confident that travelling by ship is ship as it can save a lot also than  traveling by plane.

My 3 yrs old son and I travel back to Manila by ship and.It was very strict at the port area sorrounded with many policemens and soldiers to secure that there will be no Maute terrorist can escape.Maute terrorist face are posted at the entrance at the port area so that they will be easily recognized.

11 pm in the evening the ship leaves the port area of Cagayan de Oro . We stay at the Mega value accomodation where there are also a lot of passengers at that accomodation.I talked to some people beside our deck to make friends but without my knowing that some of the people that I spoke with was  a members of Maute terrorist group. But they avoid to talk much so they transfer to ther decks where there are not much people.

One member from that Maute group was disable he was hit from the war at Marawi but I donot know that he was a Muate member.When we arrive at Iloilo in the morning. We wake up that there are so many soldiers already on board at the ship they are all in hig powered firearams everyone was panic .I was so scared and my son was so innocent of what happend we hide under the bed in case that there will be shooting will happend.

We are still lucky that there is no shooting incedents happend because the soldiers and the policemens caught the terrorist earlier without there knowing that there is already a soldiers on board.There are 6  escape Maute  members from Marawi that are on board. Four of them was caught by the policenmens and soldiers but the two got  escape maybe they jump to the sea from the ship.

Everyone on the ship specially the passengers are very worried including me and my son that maybe the terrorist planted a bomb inside the ship.The soldiers and the policemen keep looking if there is a bomb planted on board of the ship.

We are crossing our fingers hoping that there is no bomb planted on the ship. I do not know what to do I'm so scared it comes into my mind if will I and my son will jump off the ship for safety. But I just kept praying that there is no bomb luckily in the next morning we arrive at Manila alive that there is no bomb planted at the ship or else we maybe died when there is a bomb.



That was the scariest experience that ever happened to my life until now my 3 yrs old son still keep on talking about those Maute  group encountered on the ship.

This is really a traumatic experience. Good thing that our soldiers and policemen were alert at that time. Now the war has ended, I hope that the government will exert effort and sincerity to rehabilitate not only the Marawi but also the emotional being of the victims. God always bless us!

Oh wow! Kyumi, that's scary! If somehow the terrorist planted a bomb inside the ship, it's an awful feeling when most of the people will died instantly or died drowning or even trap at the cabin! Thanks Kyumi!

Glad to know you are now safe. I hope the city will be rehabilitated soon because I never like waking up with the sound of aircrafts around us since we live near a base. I pray that the radical ideoloy of Maute will also die together with their leaders.
