Living The Life of A Victim

I have a friend named Lucy, she is a very pretty and intelligent lady she is hardworking and as well caring.Lucy can give you the last money she has with her, I can say that she is indeed sacrificial. She always feels isolated and she judges herself harshly.
She sees herself in a defeating way, she sets high standard but is usually unable to succeed at it.

The only problem I have with her is that she constantly blames everyone for any misfortune  happens to her.

She blames her parents constantly for not sending her to school on time hence making her education slow.
he always wants to be at the mercy of others.

She blames her friend for not assisting her well enough, she complains about  virtually everything.

She usually has difficulty in expressing her feelings.

Since Lucy happens to be my very good friend and I cannot abandon her I decided to help her work on changing herself and her mentality.

I decided to share some tips that is helping my friend change gradually because I feel it could help someone else too who is acting as a victim.

Decide to have a new way of thinking.

Be mindful of the fact that it is up to you to change your way of life.

Read good books and apply with the principles therein.

Be conscious of your actions, react differently about circumstances.

Let your past go with your past and learn to start living in the reality of a new day.

Choose to be a victor.

Stop accusing others for your predicament.

Be gentle towards yourself.

Build self confidence.

Practice gratitude.

Always have it in mind that the world does not owe you anything.

I think you nailed it here : Practice gratitude.

It is impossible to have a victimization mindset when one is grateful.  All of us have so much to be grateful for.  It helps to write down a list of 5-10 things, a gratitude list and dwell upon them for a few minutes.
