Tonight I went to the usual gym to do a hypoxic training after work.
今晩は仕事の後、いつものジムへ行って低酸素トレーニングをしました。

A few days ago, the Nobel Foundation announced that the 2019 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine is presented to three scientists who discovered how cells sense and adapt to oxygen availability. According to their finding, hypoxic condition would activate HIF(Hypoxia-inducible Factor) in our cells. HIF adapts our cells to hypoxic condition by promoting expression of many kinds of protein, such as erythropoietin(EPO).
先日、今年のノーベル医学生理学賞が、細胞がどのように酸素利用率を感知し、応答するのかを解明した3人の科学者に贈られることを発表しました。彼らの研究成果によれば、低酸素状態によって細胞内でHIF(低酸素誘導因子)が活性化されます。HIFは、エリスロポエチンなど多種のタンパク質の発現を促進することにより、細胞を低酸素状態に適応させます。

Well, can we activate HIF by hypoxic training in gyms ? Different from continued high-altitude training, the effect is guessed to be very limited. But there are some effect, I guess.
では、ジムでの低酸素トレーニングでHIFを活性化できるのでしょうか?継続的な高地トレーニングと異なり、効果は非常に限定的だと思われます。しかし、何らかの効果はあるのではないかと僕は思います。

Today I pedaled an indoor bike with thinking about that.
