# [TWO VOICES] :: a new oil painting

Hello Steemians, today I want to share a new oil painting I am currently working on. The painting is made on canvas and quite big - it measures 80x70 centimeters or 31,5x27,5 inches. Further the quality of the canvas is amazingly good, what increases the fun factor a lot. 

Actually I have the canvas with the head drawing since a long time, but didn't know what to do with it. One day I wanted to develope the painting and had the idea to implement the little demon on the left and the angel on the right. I also adapted an element of Eduard Munchs painting "Madonna", because I wanted to create a small hommage and thought this element is perfect to show, how our inner child can get restricted through different causes in the society and so on...

In the following I want to show you the first steps of the process - (Underdrawing, First brown glaze = Imprimatura, building up volume with whites, adding some darks, and a first yellow glaze to push the white back.)

Next step: rebuilding the whites, creating more space and depth.

Hallo Steemians, Heute möchte ich ein neues Ölbild mit euch teilen, an dem ich gerade arbeite. Die Leinwand ist recht groß, misst 80x70 cm und die Qualität ist richtig gut, was den Spaßfaktor deutlich erhöht. Die weiße Leinwand mit der Kopfzeichnung steht schon eine Weile rum und irgendwann überkam es mich, daran weiter zu arbeiten, worauf ich den kleinen Dämon und den Engel einfügte. Ebenso ein Element aus Munchs "Madonna", das ich einerseits als Hommage einbauen wollte und andererseits, da ich dachte, es spiegle die Einengung des inneren Kindes, bestimmt durch verschiedene Ursachen in unserer Gesellschaft, sehr gut wieder. Das Bild ist noch in Entwicklung, aber ich hoffe es gefällt euch! DANKE!
