The last time when I participated in a contest in draft-crearte community, the theme was to make a surreal art. Now we have pop art making contest here. It is so awesome to have variety of contests with unexpected theme and promising rewards here. Every artist would be so greatful to this community.

Here I made a pop art for steem with slogan made by myself and enjoy the view.

I didn't knew what it is really means by pop art or how to make it by our own. So I made a search on web and refered some examples for a watch only. And here is something I found,

*"Pop art is an art movement that emerged in the United Kingdom and the United States during the mid- to late-1950s. The movement presented a challenge to traditions of fine art by including imagery from popular and mass culture, such as advertising, comic books and mundane mass-produced objects."- Wikipedia*

So now let's come to the matter. The making a pop art in a traditional paper and colours way was actually very difficult and time consuming. I hope digitally it would have been much easier.
Still I made one myself.

I used a lot of tools for making this painting.
**Materials used**
Paper A4, 300gsm
Colours - Acrylic, watercolour, sketch pen
Pencil - HB, Eraser
Coloring brushes
Paper tap
Water
**Editing software used**
Snapseed - for contrast adjustment
PicsArt - For collage making

**Art making process**
**Step.1**
Before starting, I wanted to have a rough sketching for the one that I was going to make. As it was an original art I assumed it would be so beneficial if we make a sample sketch before starting.

So I checked some models, which was first in portrait mode but when I started the original work I made it to landscape mode.

**Step.2**
I used the Hb pencil to create the basic sketch on my paper. Fist I made it with a little pressure. After ensuring the picture I sharpened it with some more pressure on the same pencil.

**Step.3**
I used watercolours of artist grade to fill in the each elements in the basic sketch. I started painting on the steem logo situated at the centre of the main diagram.
The methode I used here was wet on dry mode.

**Step.4**
The colouring taken to next level with more detailing. I never wanted to paint again with different layers. So I just went with maximum saturation and it made me care more with the edges.

**Step.5**
After completing the whole background colours I moved to the objects and pop up style elements. 0ainting those were the difficult part as those had sharp edges and corners.

**Step.6**
I finished almost every elements and then I started colouring the letters in the painting.

**Step.7**
Finished the whole with all elements completed.
Then I removed the paper taps that already applied for getting a good edge for the painting. Then I made the name mentioning on the margins.
So time to display 😊.

It was ver happy and satisfying to have an original art material made by ourselves in our hand. Made me feel so proud.
