3 Months have past since I last posted on the steem blockchain and there has been a good reason for it.

Last year my wife had a fall in a supermarket and hurt her foot and we didn't know the damage that had been done up until recently.
After the fall last year she has been walking around in pain and it has got to the point where she left her job as she couldn't stand for long periods and to work in a pub she had to be on her feet all the time.

The doctor sent her to physiotherapy and for nearly 10 months she was given stuff to do to help with strengthening her foot, she was putting in the work but it wasn't helping.

She could dislocate her ankle just by moving her foot.

She was sent to see a specialist who sent her for some test to see the damage that had been caused by the fall, these findings prompted the specialist to give her an appointment for surgery.

It turns out that she had torn the ligaments off her ankle bone and these are what are needed to stop the ankle rolling and this is what was causing so much pain.

When the doctor looked closer, he found she had also ruptured the ligaments on the other side of her foot too which once she had the surgery should heal by them self, only time will tell.

3 Months ago she got an appointment to go in for surgery, I took her down and waited with her until her time came to go down to the room for them to prep her and I had to go home and wait.

This was a 12 hour wait and then I got a call to go and collect her.

We both thought that the worst was over but the recovery has been worse than the surgery and we have both struggled.

She had a pot put on and had to keep her leg up to stop her from getting dvt. she had been given blood thinners to help with that too but this was what she was told to do.

Since she has been off her feet I have had to take up the role of both Mummy and Daddy in our house, I have had to cook clean wash and even shopping to keep the house moving forward.

It started taking its toll on me and I have found myself falling asleep earlier and earlier every night.

My kids have addapted to the situation pretty well and they have all helped in their own way to help me look after the house, But I have struggled to keep up with everything.  My time keeping sucks and I have had a few days of been late for school because we have all over slept.

Then one morning I was awoken by my wife at 12-am, she had pain in her leg and it really hurt, we had to go to the hospital and for hours we sat waiting to be seen by them to be sent home. 

More time has passed and because our lass has been stuck in the house for so long her mental health has took a hit too, and with the help of some mild antidepressants she is feeling a little better.

Today has been the first day I have managed to get the computer out and write a post.

There is still a long road to go, she has to build strength in her leg, her boot is due to come off in december, it has been a mad 3 months. 

I have missed posting reading and I am writing this today to tell you I will be back, I'm not gone I am just taking a break until the dust has settled.
