Today, Me and my family went on a nature walk and ended up at an old stream that I used to play in 25 years ago.

It has changed a little, overgrown with weeds and houses have been built around the area but the stream remains the same as it did all them years ago.

My oldest daughter and I decided that we would go down to the water to see what was swimming around in it and we found some freshwater shrimp.

Many years ago me and my friends would go down to the same stream and there was never anything in the water and we used to look under rocks and in the banking area.

Some plant had grown over the years that were never there when I was a kid like the one I took with my phone, it had reeds on it, I am guessing that someone has thrown it in the water from a pond or something and it has took root.

We couldn't see any fish, as that was one of the reasons why we went down to the banking, I was looking for some cold water algae eaters for my fish tank.

I was surpised that there wern't more children playing down at the stream as it was always popular place for everyone to go when I was a kid.

I got home and told my mother about the little adventure that me and the kids had been on, I also told her about the lack of kids playing and she always says it as it is.

# Kids these days don't know how to play, they are glued to their phones or computers playing electronic games.

Shes right, When I was a lad everybody was out in the street either playing catch, football wrestling tiggy or climbing trees now everyone seems to be stuck indoors and nothing seems to be doing anything fun anymore.

I don't know about you guys but I limit the amount of time I let my kids watch tv just so they have a real life.
