When it comes to Merchant Adoption of Cryptocurrencies it is sad to say that Bitcoin is lagging a bit Behind in this Prospect. Global Adoption of Cryptocurrencies as a Payment option has been a Huge Goal for us for as long as we can remember.

While Bitcoin did act as a Pioneer for the whole Crypto-Merchant Integration it is time for some Altcoins to carry forward the Torch. Altcoins like Monero and Verge has already been seen to be Integrated into some Porn Websites and Sex Toys Buying websites for obvious reasons.

Yet another example is of OMG Coin which earned it's spotlight when McDonald's Thailand integrated OMG as a means of Payment. OmiseGo continues to expand its network, it’s predicted that other large Corporations will integrate this Cryptocurrency down the Road.

Another instance is that of our beloved Dogecoin which has seen significant Adoption and even has a Payment option for a Popular Trendy Dog Accessories Website.

I think electroneum will go a long way in connecting crypto to merchants. THey have applied for a patent that will enable instant crypto currency payments to merchants. This patent will allow them to add Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero or virtually any other cryptocurrency to their app and allow users to make instant crypto payments to any vendor who wants to have the convenience of instant check-out. If this works I think electroneum is ahead of the game :)

I read your post and I agree we need less cash being carried around.Most of the banks , shops and other merchants need to figure out ways to accept and exchange services in crypto payments. In Kenya we do have cash thefts like those too.
