# What is JPM Coin?

Recently JP Morgan Chase which is one of the American multinational Investment Bank and Financial Services Company announced that they are indeed launching their own Token on the Blockchain which would be the JPM Coin. As a part of their announcement, they also pointed out that JP Morgan Chase moves over 6 Trillion USD per Day for their Partners worldwide so they would like to use a better and quicker means to achieve that.

Now they also said that the JPM Coin will be a Stablecoin which would be kind of controlled by their Bank and would be backed by actual USD. This is something that is very concerning, it's like holding Cryptocurrency in a wallet whose keys are held by someone else. Truth be told I am kind of confused as to what they are trying to achieve but we can just wait and see what happens next.
