 كان الفرن التقليدي هو السائد في مخنلف مناطق المغرب، بل كان أحد اللوازم الاساسية لعيش أي أسرة أو مجموعة من الاسر في حي من الاحياء الشعبية و كذا المناطق القروية التي ما زالوا يستعملونه الى حدود الساعة.

الفرن التقليدي هو فرن يبنى من الطين و بعض التبن، يقوم بتشييده أي شخص لعاش في البادية، ويستعمل في بنائه عجين الطين الأحمر مختلط ببعض التبن، و من تم  تأسيس قاعدة مربعة مرتفعة عن الأرض حوالي 50 سنتيمترا.

بعد الانتهاء من بناء القاعدة، تكون الخطوة التالية هي تشييد الجزء الأساسي من الفرن وهو الجزء الذي يتخذ شكل قبة، لها فتحة صغيرة في الاعلى لكي يخرج منها الدخان وفتحة أخرى كبيرة في الجهة الأمامية للقاعدة حيث يكون دورها في إدخال الخبز لطهيه في الداخل.

 هذه هي الطريقة التي كانوا يبنون بها الفرن التقليدي منذ سنوات طويلة.

إن الفرن التقليدي في السنوات الاخيرة بدأ يندثر تدريجيا في القرى، أما في المدن فلمأصبح شبه منقرض تماما وقد تم تعويضه بالفرن الذي يشتغل بالغاز أو بالكهرباء.

The traditional oven was the most common in Morocco. It was one of the basic necessities for any family or group of families to live in a neighborhood and the rural areas that still use it to the hour.

The traditional oven is a mud-brick oven and some hay, built by anyone who lives in the desert. It is used in the construction of a red clay dough mixed with some straw, and a square base was built about 50 centimeters from the ground.

After completing the construction of the base, the next step is to build the main part of the oven, which is a dome shaped, has a small opening at the top to get out of the smoke and another large hole in the front of the base where the role in the introduction of bread to cook inside.

 This is how they built the traditional oven for many years.

In recent years, the traditional kiln has gradually begun to disappear in the villages, but in the cities it has become almost completely extinct and has been replaced by a gas or electric oven.
