Hi Steemians,

I am so missing this platform. Before I start explaining my MIA (missing in action) reason here, I would like to apologise for not running my WWE podcast show and missing out on the last WWE PPV, Fastlane. Hopefully, I can get back on track by this week to continue my podcasting.

So, I was AWOL in Steemit as I was developing my skills in business analytics and intelligence. I can see for the past few years how essential these kind of skills are and I decided to equip myself with this skills. Some of you might wonder how much I spent to equip with these skills. You can enrol yourself in a 2-day training course by various training provider but it will cost you about a minimum of RM 2,000/ USD 510/ 209 SBD (at the current rate of 1 SBD= USD 2.42. The truth is I don't have this kind of money to enrol for a two days course and I have to cram everything I learn in a short period of time. Hence, I sought alternative and I found one from [LinkedIn learning](https://www.linkedin.com/learning/me?trk=nav_neptune_learning). I just need to pay around USD 29.99/12.39 SBD for a LinkedIn premium account and I can access the learning library to unlock all the courses available. Most of the instructors are the subject matter expert in their field.

From the snapshot above, basically, LinkedIn provide professional learning in the areas of business, creative and technology. You can pick to learn subjects, software or both through learning path. For my case, I learned Becoming business intelligence specialist under the data science technology subcategory. Among the notable software I learned was Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau and Google Analytics.
For each course completed, you will receive a certificate of completion and also a completion badge if you have completed all the course on a learning path.

I do understand about the debate between digital certification and traditional hardcopy certification and I am not in the mood in defending my method of getting digital certification. It is all about the end goal and what you want when you enrol in a class or course. As for me, I wanted to learn about the business analytics and how I can put that into practice. I will slowly improve myself in the area by taking on some small business analytic gigs and will move on to the more complex project as time goes by.

On a separate note, I am back in promoting Steemit to my peers and friends. The cover picture at the top of this post is my friend and she is very excited to start on Steemit. She is a very low profile and I decided not to reveal many details about her (I shouldn't have revealed to her about @kevinwong style) and that explains why she does not want to see the camera when I took a selfie with her. I wished her good luck on her steemit journey and hopefully, she will make it big here.

Once my friend introduce me to learn more stuff in Linkedin, but most of the studies requires me to watch video (which I can't really do that in the office), so I've been missing out the free ones :(
