📌**Volcanic lightning ("dirty storms") - a rare natural phenomenon**

*Volcanic lightning is one of the rare, extremely dramatic and sensational beautiful natural phenomena that at the same time provoke enthusiasm and awe. Volcanic lightning is produced mainly in severe eruptions. They form closer to the ground and do not always move downwards, as normal lightning usually moves. They are the most powerful in the initial phase of the eruption, so it is difficult to record them in a timely manner. In Iceland, they are known as "dirty storms."*

*There are two theories about their departure. According to the first, magma, stones and volcanic ash, which are ejected in the air, are charged with some processes before the explosion. According to another, volcanic gases and particles of high energy, on their journey upward, in collisions with cooler particles in the atmosphere, lose electrons and become electrically charged.*

*Even though we now know how volcanic lightning originates, we still have a lot to learn about them, as when two years ago it became known that volcanic lightning can create perfect round glass balls.*<hr>
