No huge changes here, but I did want to get a closer look at the 'runt'. That silverish 'fuzz' in the center is the edge of the new leaves it's putting out. I think it's going to survive. Sweet!

This guy is getting a little taller. It might just reach the second rung on the cage by this weekend. We're supposed to have a good warm-up, into the 90's by next Monday. I'm betting it'll love that!

<center><h2>Sweet Banana Pepper</h2></center>

Still haven't excavated that extra bag of dirt. Probably tomorrow or the next day, because of the rising temps. The plants may like it, but it tends to slow me down. In the meantime, I'm watching that blurry brown blob in the center of the right hand plant to see if it's starting to grow it's first pepper. Soon. Soon...

These little guys are really happy and filling out quickly. I'm thinking about a small addition to the rigging – across the front of the buckets. There's not much support for the ones in the front of the middle bucket. I think a piece of twine or two around the upright orange poles will be a nice little assist and they could reach it in a day or so.

These little stinkers (pun intended) surprised me again. The first surprise was that they weren't brussels sprouts. But, anyway, back to the story... I was was seeing if there was room for some more dirt. I thought I had a dozen, four in each bucket. (Yes, I know that's crowding.) After a double-take, I confirmed the middle bucket has FIVE plants. Another stowaway. And I didn't even WANT cabbage this year. Sigh...

<center><h2>Brussels Sprouts</h2></center>

All the brussels sprouts are at or above the rim of the buckets now. I think they're filling out, too. That could just be wishful thinking. I really could go back and check prior pictures, but I like this version, so I'll stick with it for a while.
