Do you have an idea what would be the benefit to a high post count with no posts? Seems like they're going for a high score that wouldn't do much for them.

Hmmm... that's an interesting way of "gaming" at least one parameter of the system... Wonder if it has any positive effects apart from moving one upward in number of posts?

LOL 3305 deleted OMG!

I've wondered why posts are not separated into, at least, comments and blog posts. I'm at about 4700, but I comment a lot. I do try to make the comments count. It helps me keep track of what and how I'm doing, or at least have done.

Well, anyway, Steemit has been fun. I got to brush up on my writing and communication skills, and meet a few new and interesting people. 

It has been a privilege, but I have to wind this down. This is just not as productive as I like to be. I'll probably be kicking around, saying goodbye to some people for a bit, but I just can't keep pouring time into this.

I can't speak to someone else's motivation but I am doing my best to chase my way to the top of the posts board myself but the majority of my comments are rarely shorter than this one so the chance of being #1 is highly doubtful.

That's interesting, I didn't know that deleted posts still contribute to your post count.  But if you had asked me to take a guess at the highest posting community member, I would have said @mindhunter right away simply from the frequency with which he appears in my feed.  :-)

@mindhunter you're a machine!  Glad to see you are enjoying the platform so much.

Lol maybe they have made some drunk posts.  I used to do that all the time on twitter and facebook (big mistake) luckily in those cases there is no blockchain to remember.

Also I don't see what the attraction is of having the most posts.  Seems like a bit of a boneheaded pursuit to me - it is absolutely meaningless.  Most of those posts are comments thanking people.
