**Abdus Salam was born in 1926 as a child of a poor family in the poor lands of Pakistan.** He was a curious person who wanted to learn on the occasion of his family giving importance to education and knowledge. This led him to think about the problems Pakistan and the world have and to produce solutions. In this way, he determined the work area and set off.

Abdus Salam studied his time in depth and began to analyze the source of the problems. He believed in the value of nuclear energy for his country and he felt that nuclear energy was necessary to reach the desired level in the industry. He also pioneered the completion of the atomic bomb by Pakistan, which he believed would be a deterrent force for peaceful purposes. He was in charge of managing the theoretical physics group at the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission. He was also the founder of Suparco. **Between 1960 and 1970, he was a science consultant to the Pakistani government.** He was responsible for important developments in theoretical and particle physics and for the promotion of Pakistan's scientific research. Two years after his death, after nuclear tests, he was repressed by the government to commemorate him. Magnetic photon, vector Meson, pati-Salam model, great unification theory, Super symmetry studies are important achievements.** In addition, the study of Electrozayif force Theory awarded the Nobel Prize.** He contributed to the development of Mathematics through his studies at Imperial College in London. Besides these studies, there are many other researches. He has played an active role in bringing Pakistani physicists into the physics community.

Abdus Salam, 1926 yılında Pakistan’ın topraklarında, fakir bir ailenin oğlu olarak dünyaya geldi. Abdus Salam, yaşadığı dönemi  incelemiş ve sorunların kaynağını tespit etmeye başlamıştı. **14 yaşında Punjab Üniversitesinde  okumayı başaran Abdus Salam, o güne kadar Penjap Ünivesitesi'nde alınamamış bir yeterlilik puanıyla üniversiteye girmeyi başarmıştır. 1946 yılında Government College Üniversitesi matematik bölümünü bitirip mezun olmuştur.**Bundan hemen sonra da Cambridge, Aziz John Koleji’nden burs kazanarak burs almıştır. Abdus Salam'ın matematik ve fizik alanında yaptıkları beğeni toplamaya başladı. **1950'de doktora öncesi fiziğe katkısından dolayı Cambridge Üniversitesi Smith Ödülünü kazandı**. O ülkesi için nükleer enerjinin gerekliliğine inanıyor ve sanayide yükselmek için nükleer enerjinin gerekli olduğu sonucuna vardı. Ayrıca atom bombasının Pakistan tarafından tamamlanmasında öncü oldu. 1974 yılında Pakistan Parlamentosu Abdus Salam'ın da dahil olduğu Ahmediyye Müslüman Topluluğu’nu kafir ilan edince, ülkesinden protestolarla ayrıldı.
**Abdus Salam 21 Kasım 1996'da Cambridge'de vefat etti.**

Pakistan Atomik Enerji Komisyonu’nda kuramsal fizik grubunun yönetiminden sorumluydu. Ayrıca Suparco’nun kurucusuydu. Kuramsal ve parçacık fiziğindeki önemli gelişmelerden ve Pakistan’ın bilimsel araştırmalarının zirveye çıkarılmasından sorumluydu. Vefatından 2 sene sonra yapılan nükleer testlerden sonra kendisinin anısına hükümet tarafından hatıra pulu bastırıldı. Londra Imperial Koleji’nde yaptığı çalışmalarla matematiğin gelişmesine etki sağlamıştır. Abdus Salam, Pakistan’ın uzay programı kurucusudur. Nasa ile de tanışmayı başaran Abdus Salam, Pakistanlı bilim adamları ve mühendislerinin Nasa tarafından eğitilmesiyle alakalı bir anlaşmaya varmıştır ve ilk nükleer mühendis birkaç ay içerisinde Suparco’da göreve başlamıştır. **Abdus Salam (Abdüsselam) elektro zayıf etkileşim ile ilgili çalışmalara katkılarından dolayı 1979 yılında Nobel Fizik Ödülü'ne sahip oldu. Bu ödülle birlikte, Nobel Ödülü kazanan ilk Müslüman bilim insanı olma unvanına erişti.**
