Satay is one of the culinary specialties of Indonesia, although we can get various types of satay throughout the world. Satay meat also consists of various types such as mutton, beef, chicken, and buffalo. But what is more common in Indonesia is usually beef and goat satay.

According to a senior researcher at the Center for Food and Nutrition Studies at Gajah Mada University, Murdjiati Gardjito, Indonesia has 252 types of satay. Of the total number, only 175 types of satay have been traced in origin.

Aceh has a number of cities that have famous satay. In the past, Matangglumpang City in Peusangan District, Bireuen Regency, was known for having delicious satay. 

Every bus that crosses Jalan Medan - Banda Aceh, is not complete if it does not stop at the mature satay lined up along the road.

Since the presence of Apaleh satay in Geureugok, Gandapura District, people's interest has begun to shift to Apaleh satay. Taste of culinary connoisseurs are always looking for new places. When lately satay Tubaka was present, people also had other choices.

The process of making Tubaka is not much different from satays in general. It's just that, in terms of taste and presentation is a little different. Tubaka Satay which uses beef is not only served with peanut sauce, but also comes with soup.

Previously, Tubaka satay had already been covered in herbs that were rich in spices. Then burn it on the coals of charcoal for about fifteen minutes.

For the soup sauce, usually use beef broth cooked with special seasonings. In this soup, there is usually a piece of meat fat and potatoes. In terms of taste, Satay Tubaka has a sweet taste with a delicious blend of soto sauce.

For drinks, visitors usually order coffee or cucumber juice. Reportedly, cucumber juice is ordered to neutralize the effects of satay which is high in carbohydrates and protein.



The texture of Tubaka satay beef is very soft. My son—five year-old—whose  upper teeth are damaged by chocolate, can deliciously chew the Tubaka satay. The cooked meat gives off a hungry scent.[]
