Medicinal Plants Successfully Reduce Visits to Puskesmas 'Medical Clinic'

There are about 150 medicinal plants that can be planted in the yard for the treatment of various diseases.

Some types of plants are rat tail, continued life, soursop leaves, sambiroto, pandanus, ginseng and African leaves.  "These drugs can be used to treat gout, diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure, cough and others.

Now residents go to the health center to check it out, later treatment uses herbal concoctions, in addition to planting, villagers also begin to produce herbal medicines even though they do not yet have standards and production is still done manually.

Minister of Health Indonesia said, in the last few decades, the world has positioned traditional medicine, including herbs / herbs and skills, as an option for treatment and to maintain fitness for the community.  Various countries, such as China, Korea, India and Thailand have been very advanced in developing traditional medicines, thanks to the support and strong commitment of the Government. I am sure and believe that the aspiration to make jamu as the mainstream of the Indonesian economy and increase the country's foreign exchange will be realized.  Because, Indonesia has a megabiodiversity of medicinal plants, said the Minister of Health. On that occasion, the Minister of Health asked the Tawangmangu Center for Medicinal Plants and Traditional Medicines to continue to improve research on medicinal plants and herbs, because there are thousands of herbs in Indonesia that need.
