Text:

1 Kings 3:4-6
> [4]The king went to Gibeon [near Jerusalem, where stood the tabernacle and the bronze altar] to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place. One thousand burnt offerings Solomon offered on that altar.
[5]In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night. And God said, Ask what I shall give you.
[6]Solomon said, You have shown to Your servant David my father great mercy and loving-kindness, according as he walked before You in faithfulness, righteousness, and uprightness of heart with You; and You have kept for him this great kindness and steadfast love, that You have given him a son to sit on his throne this day.

As a covenant child of God, there are things you can do to provoke divine favour in the affairs of your life. When favour is upon you, it clearly marks you out for distinction. You will instantly become the required personality. Even your best is not needed because you will be preferred to those who are better than your best.

Favour works with selection not always by election. You don't need humanity to secure favour because it is from divinity. Until you contact God's favour he will remain on the grass. If there is anything you should ask God daily, it should be divine favour. To increase by labour is good, but by table is faster and better. However, a vital way of provoking the favor of God is by being a generous giver. You can't be a generous giver and not experience god's favour upon your endeavors in life.

In our for the study test for today, David said, he wouldn't give to God what does not cost him. No wonder he won all the battles he fought. He never lost any neither was he a casualty. His son Solomon did likewise, he offered to God 1000 bulls for sacrifice and instantly god gave him an open cheque to fill in whatever he wanted.

This is how a sacrificial giving can provoke God's people on your behalf. As a covenant child of God, apart from your regular tithe and offering, a lifetime of sacrificial giving should be part of your work and service to God. Take a step of faith and provoke god's favour today.

Thank you for reading through... I am @ayoyemi.
