My main and only hope now is that I am wrong about people NOT being able to see that when you shut down the conversation, it's because you will lose if it continues.  It is simply using raw power to prevent truth and logic from showing that you are wrong. 

If a person sees that, if the average person knows that, then we can recover. There is still time in our culture. England and most of Europe is gone. Only a period of darkness can proceed any renaissance there. The US, some of western and northern Europe, and maybe even Japan and Mongolia may be the only light in the coming darkness.
