Those who are highly fond of Splinterlands game would have come across a situation where they have to invest some money in upgrading the deck to grab some good rewards. I have also been in that situation. During the initial days I did not spend any money to purchase cards in the game. I was just proceeding with the existing cards that I had and only the ones that received from the rewards.

Now the urge is like we have to purchase cards from the market to stay in top levels. Strategical gameplay is one thing but good card deck is also very important in the game. Without investment the progress in the game is very slow. 

## Diversified investment

Now let's talk about diversified investment here. When I say diversified investment, I mean the type of cards you purchase. When I started purchasing cards from the market, someone told me to focus on one summoner/splinter and upgrade the cards in that particular deck and once we are competitive enough we can invest on the other summoners. 

This has worked very well for me. Instead of diversifying the investment to multiple cards from multiple decks, I would also recommend focusing on just one deck first and then gradually move to the other decks. When I say about this investment, you should not misunderstand that I'm talking about maxing out all the cards in that deck. Not at all. You can upgrade the cards to a certain level and keep it ready for the ranked matches and then gradually move to other decks. 

If we diversify the investment by purchasing random cards from random decks, we may not be able to progress faster in the game. This is not a financial advice by a strategy that worked for me and I wanted to share it with everyone else.
