I disagree with all of what you have stated.

Without resolution (whatever that may mean/entail), I very much doubt it will cool off with time, rather might at best go into some kind of hibernation only to be re-triggered at a future point, perhaps very easily and perhaps in an even more entrenched manner.

I think the case is the opposite:

What @lyndsaybowes stated is open blockhain fact, easily verifiable in detail. She also clearly stated her own position, exactly where she stands. Nothing wrong with that in principle! Sure this is a *high profile* issue and has drawn a lot of attention. To me, this post seems to have become more like a rallying call to the energies of resolution (which most of us would like, whichever side, if any, we are on).  I think Lyndsay's act was courageous and far from being a 'horrible idea', it represents a step forward (no idea how large).

As pointed out in this comment above, I don't think sweeping stuff under the carpet will heal the situation. And I do not think throwing water on the fire will put it out either (and who has that kind of water?). There are egos involved - big statements have been made. It's not easy to retreat from such positions, the ego will resist.

Solutions come from somewhere higher than the ego. 

As in any human drama that is smouldering and spitting intermittently, a catalyst  brings things to a certain head, a point where information (and drama) is revealed that would otherwise not be; it brings this about in a *rich and concentrated manner*. Lydnsay's video is this catalyst and the information can be found in the words of the comments and *between the lines* all over this page (and both FTG and Bernie have - aside from to each other, a few others, and one or two resident trolls lol - been pretty reasonable in their general responses IMO and have also given *clear* indications of their individually evolving perceptions). What comes up is new info, new perspectives, new understandings, new connections (absorbed consciously or not, they are influential). What one does with this info remains to be seen in the unfoldment, but the fact of the matter is that a *surge-post* like this concentrates and brings submerged patterns to the surface in a powerful manner, revealing more of the network of beings and emotions and reactions; the dynamics of interaction, what works and what doesn't. 

I may dislike conflict and thus avoid it, but my resentment doesn't go away unless I  can understand what it is ie *figure it out*. If I do not look or do not wish to look within for the answer, then I must wait for a catalyst to bring the resentment to the surface so that it is revealed. The outcome may be more disruptive in the moment, but the info is there for me on a platter if I wish.

Voices come out of the woodwork and offer differing perspectives that may or may not be considered by the protagonists, but do add to the *collective conscious energy* that has built up around the issue. A lot of people know about the fight and so a lot of consciousnesses are involved to a greater or lesser degree.

Energy is real, and it can be influenced, it can assist in shaping and moulding situations. There is also the [role played by the observer](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Observer_effect_(physics)). There is no doubt that this situation needs healing.
