This is the first time I have blogged.  I am 50 years old.  I have been working in the IT industry for 25 years.  I was an electronics technician in the Navy during the George HW Bush administration.  I built my first radio when I was eight, it was a radio shack crystal set.  That was 1977.
My grandmother bought me a TI 99-4\A in 1980, when I was 11.  I taught myself BASIC by copying games out of a book.  I figured out how to save the games to a radio shack cassette recorder after my Mom pulled the plug on my computer.  I had just spent 4 hours troubleshooting hangman when she yanked the plug and announced "Bed Time!"
I took a course in prgramming at the Evergreen State College when I was 15.  It was 1984, the summer between freshman and sophomore school years.  I did very well, they had a hybrid called BASIC75 that they had been modifying.  It had 'do' loops.  It was their first interpretation of the 'while' and 'until' loop structures. 
When I was in high school I took so many computer and electronics classes that the principal waved the biology, chemistry, and physics requirements for graduation.  I don't blame him considering I was one of two people that knew how to administer the school's only computer.  Of course in the '80s schools did all of their business by hand on paper.  They haven't really advanced that far since then.  I have teen agers in the same high school I attended and I am amazed at the lack of technology in their daily processes.  Its like it is still 1998.

I spent six months in Saudi Arabia as an independent contractor right after 9/11.  I worked for that company for almost 3 years.  I actually went there 3 times totalling 6 months.  The longest single period was 14 weeks, which was long enough to start understanding Arabic due to immersion.
I built a six site network shaped like a ring with point to point lasers in Jeddah.  We used it for Internet, VoIP, and internal server access.  I integrated that VoIP system with Saudi Telecom.  Dealing with Saudi Telecom was an education all by itself.

I spent almost 10 years as a federal contractor in Northern Virginia and Washington DC.  I was at the US Dept. of Agriculture for 5 years.  I did design work for the Office of Personnel Management and the Department of the Interior.  I designed the telephone system that is currently in production for most of the EPA.  I rebuilt the Pacifc Northwest (VISN 20) wide area network for the US Veterans Administration.
I did operations work for Qwest on their internet network during Y2K.  That was fun, I had a Sun workstation on my desk and a steady diet of BGP and circuit latency issues to troubleshoot.  Big ISP experience has proved to be invauable.
I have done network engineering projects for well over a hundred commercial companies.

I am an avid Trump supporter.  I voted for him reluctantly.  If Bernie had been nominated by the Democrats, I would have voted for him.  I will not vote for a criminal, therefore I will not vote for Hillary Clinton.  One of my early functions at the USDA was email administrator, that is a simpification but it is good enough for this.  Using an email server outside of the State Departments network for classified communication is a felony.  She was using it to run her pay for play business and her child trafficking operations.  She is the evil witch queen and must never again hold any type of power.  Had I done anything even remotely like that I would have been thrown in prison for decades.
Now I see that Trump is the best President that I have seen in my lifetime.  I voted for Obama.  I am ashamed of that.  I should have listened to my brother in law.  Obama is a traitor.  Before Trump is finished, Obama will be impeached, his pardons nullified, and the Clinton's prosecuted.
I follow Q.  I am sick of Twitter, I think it should be nationalized.
I look forward to the break-up of Google, they have become an extension of the Chinese Communist party and are behaving like a monopoly.  Their motto used to be "Don't be evil", why would you need to say that let alone make it your motto?  Where did you start?  Even scarier is them changing it when Trump was elected and saying that they have to make it so that someone like Trump never gets elected again.  Who do they think they are?
Facebook is ridiculous, Mark Zuckerberg has obviously sold out to the Chinese Communists.  Big tech has to get fixed.
