Wednesday Freewrite Prompt: Gardening

I thought I had seen it all, though unprepared, there always seems like more is to come. Despite the rules broken and the stolen tokens; sometimes I think its all make believe

I've dabbled with the darkness that lurks beneath the soul, it calls out to me in obscure ways as I fight to be free of the pain and obsequiousness to it's whims. 
With a pint McDowell and a dream bigger than life, I'm sat in the dark patiently pruning away at the obliquity that plagues me. The weeds won't let the righteous grow so he must free his being of this travail.
I have tarried too long in oblivion but as I patiently dig up the soil of contempt, a black hole appears and my universe unravels within the rubble. I cut out a piece of my heart and bury it in this nursery for the soul and watch it grow surreptitiously. I'll never be the same again after this. I'm reborn
