_Mario Benedetti fue un poeta y escritor uruguayo miembro de la Generación del '45. Autor de "La Tregua" y "Gracias por el fuego", entre otros. El Sur también existe, Corazón coraza, Los formales y el frío, Defensa de la alegría, Hagamos un trato, No te salves, Táctica y estrategia, Currículum y Viceversa son algunos de sus poemas más famosos. Su lenguaje claro y simple, mezclado con retazos propios de su propia historia lo hace uno de los poetas más ser accesibles a todo el mundo_.
