If you have some free time and your daughter likes making stuff, then what better thing to make than a ROBOT? That is also solar powered!

In fact, our robot is going to be much better than a humanoid Terminator, because we are going to be making a Robot dinosaur! Everyone knows Dinosaurs would stomp on a Human robot in a fair fight!

My oldest loves making stuff and puzzles are a favourite. She wolfs down Lego like nothing else, following the instructions until it is all complete! So, I thought this build your own robot kit was going to be right up her alley!

Admittedly, it was a pretty simple affair with lots of tiny little screws and we did mix up some instructions. But it was nice to spend an hour or so just building stuff together whilst the little one was asleep!

Here is our headless wonder, with the solar panel that will go on the head.

In the end, the part that gave us the most difficulty was the wiring. Trying to hold the wiring in place, whilst screwing the screws in place was something that we needed several goes at!

However, in the end we did it!

Here is our lovely Robo-dinosaur skeleton, which we are going to decorate in the coming days with ribbons and beads.... After all, you can still look cute whilst stomping causing mass destruction!
