Dear Friends , 

I thought of sharing daily covid updates with you. The number of deaths are increase by around another 20 deaths.  And we can't see any decease in active cases reported each day. I think this must be the reason why sri lankan government decided to impose a lockdown period again. I think that is the only solution they can provide at the moment.

Now sri lankan health sector is conducting around  25000+ PCR tests for a day. And from the above figure you can notice that more than 2500 new cases are reported daily. Is this mean that 10% of our population is COVID Positive ? But all these PCR tests are not random tests .. so that's not true.

Thanks to our health officials who are doing a great job while risking their lives , we are able to keep  a good recovery rate. But compared to recovery rates of first and second covid waves .. this is much low.

So currently we are here..  we got 25000+ active cases and more than 2500+ found each day and recovery rate is less than 1500..  we must try to increase our recovery rate compared to the input rate.  I think after this lockdown period these figures will be more positive. Let's hope for the best friends,
